James Stevens releases Time for a Hero, superhero musical
Los Angeles, June 18, 2010 – James Stevens, released his short film, “Time for a Hero” at an Austin screening in May. The superhero musical is the story of a standard superhero and his not-so-super friend.
The musical focuses on the struggle between two long-time friends, Hero and Tate. When Tate discovers he has a unique, if not exactly super, power, he tries to team up with strong, over-confident Hero.
“Writing, directing and filming “Time for a Hero” was an amazing opportunity that taught me how to manage a large crew and experience different components of filmmaking,” said Stevens. “Merging the comedic and dramatic elements that make a musical a success, was challenging, but seeing the final product was incredible.”
Stevens entered “Time for a Hero” in the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, the Austin Film Festival, the Hamptons International Film Festival and more. He looks forward to future opportunities surrounding his short film and continues to work on new projects.
